In April of 2018, Oracle opened the Smart Innovation Center on the 18th floor of Prime Tower. Since then, the company’s largest research facility has worked hand in hand with staff as well as students of the Eidgenössischen Technischen Hochschule (ETH) of Zürich and the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) to investigate hot topics such as machine learning, artificial intelligence and Blockchain. The Smart Innovation Center is continually growing, along with its space requirements. And that is why Oracle took the decision to expand into an extra floor. The reasons for the expansion within Prime Tower are self-evident: On the one hand, Oracle wanted to remain as close as possible to the ETH to maintain its research partnership and on the other hand, Prime Tower offers first-class public transport connections.
