Rome, London, São Paulo, Manchester, Avignon and Rio de Janeiro – “Amazônia” has already delighted one million people worldwide. This successful exhibition is currently on display under the patronage of the Zurich Insurance Group at the MAAG Halle in Zurich.
In “Amazônia, the famous contemporary photographer Sebastião Salgado takes visitors on an impressive journey through the Amazon rainforest.
The lush vegetation is showcased by more than 200 images. They convey the majesty of the vast plains and mighty mountain ranges of the Amazon region. They evoke the sound of rain, waterfalls and rivers, sharing the life and struggle for survival of humans and animals.
